The No. 1 team in the country, Toronto Varsity Blues showed why they are just that defeating the Warriors in straight sets in the OUA quarter-finals on Saturday afternoon.  The Warriors battled hard and stuck with the Blues most of the opening set but Toronto showed why they are the favourite to win it all in the 3-0 victory.

Samantha Warner (Ayr) led the way with seven points on four kills, two service aces, and one block.  Emily Ibbotson (Cambridge) had five kills while Casey Clunas (Harriston) and Kayla Wierts (Drayton) each had three kills.  Claire Gagne (Cambridge) finished with 14 assists and Sarah Remedios (Ajax) was busy defensively with 11 digs.

Alina Dormann led the Blues with nine kills in the win.

It was the last game for fifth year senior, Casey Clunas (Harriston) who has demonstrated exactly what it means to be a Warrior on and off the court.  We wish Casey all the best as she wraps up her academics at the University of Waterloo this fall and in all of her future endeavors.
