The Warriors men's rugby team continued their hot start to the 2022 season with another lopsided victory, this time defeating the visiting Toronto Varsity Blues by a score of 57-0. The Warriors have outscored their first two opponents of the season by a combined score of 122-14.
It was a complete team effort for the black and gold in their dominating victory over the Blues with seven different Warriors finding the scoresheet. Last week's Athlete of the Week,
Thomas Richards (Scarborough) punched in another two tries giving him five on the young season while
Josh Eustace (Brantford/) dashed in a single try while adding five converts to give him 15 points on the afternoon.
Other Warriors scoring single tries included
Graydon Harris (Waterloo/), Josh Wegman,
Stratton Windsor (Waterloo/),
Kevin Oh (Waterloo/), and
Sanad Ibrahim (Oakville) to round out a well balanced attack.Â
Waterloo will put their 2-0 record on the line when they make the short trip across University Avenue to battle the Laurier Golden Hawks nex Saturday at 1pm. The Warriors will hope to revenge a tough 52-24 loss to the Hawks last season.Â
