Over the weekend, the Warriors hit the road to Southwestern Ontario and played two games. They managed to secure a victory against the Windsor Lancers with a score of 70-61 but unfortunately lost to the Western Mustangs with a score of 88-101.

The black and gold trailed close behind the Lancers as they led by one at the end of the first quarter. The back-and-forth continued into the second period, with both teams finishing with 17 points. Josh Akuamoah (Whitby, ON/) set a strong president at the line as he went 6-6 in free throws.Â
The third quarter saw Windsor coming out strong, outscoring the Warriors 22-18. Battling from behind, the Warriors turned it around in the game's final quarter to seal the win; the Warriors outscored the Lancers 21-7.Â
On Friday night, three players of the Warriors team scored points in double digits. Raf Llorin (Cambridge, ON/), Cristian Craciun (Ancaster, ON/), and Josh Akuamoah (Whitby, ON/) contributed 24, 12, and 10 points, respectively.Â
The Windsor Lancers outperformed the Warriors on the free throw line, with the Lancers shooting 84.2% compared to the Warriors' 68.4%. However, the Warriors were able to secure the victory. They outdid the Lancers on the field, shooting 39.4% compared to Windsor's 27.9%.Â
SaturdayÂ
On Saturday night, there was a familiar sight for fans as five players from the Warriors team scored in double digits: Ben Mascarenhas (Cambridge, ON/) (19), Isaac Wasta (17), Raf Llorin (Cambridge, ON/) (12), Ross Pockar (Calgary, AB/) (12), Josh Akuamoah (Whitby, ON/) (10). During the game, the Warriors managed to improve their foul shot percentage from the previous night to 71.4%. Westerns' impressive 88% from the line proved too much for them to surpass.Â
Ben Mascarenhas (Cambridge, ON/) and Isaac Watsa (New Hamburg, ON/Waterloo-Oxford District Secondary), previously redshirts, dominated the court for the Warriors. Mascarenhas scored 19 points, shooting 8 out of 17 from the field. Isaac Wasta wrapped up the game with 17 points, 2 blocks, 2 steals, and 3 rebounds
The Mustangs started off strong with quick transitional plays, leaving the Warriors trailing by 10 points at the start of the second quarter. Fueled by energy, the Warriors scored a 9-2 run at the beginning of the second quarter while keeping the Mustangs at bay. Both teams played with solid defensive tactics, but the Mustangs maintained their lead with a score of 58-45. Despite the Warriors' hard work in the third quarter, outscoring the Mustangs 29-21, the Mustangs managed to deny them a chance to get back in the game by breaking the 100-point mark late in the fourth.Â
